AI in NexusPlan
NexusPlan’s AI features let you go faster without locking you to one model — you bring your own AI. There are three:
- AI floor-plan detection — upload a plan and let a vision model trace the walls, doors, windows and scale.
- The AI assistant — an in-app chat that can read, edit, simulate and export your plans.
- Connect your own AI client (MCP) — drive NexusPlan from Claude Desktop, Cursor, or any MCP client.
Bring your own key
Section titled “Bring your own key”The AI runs on your provider account, not ours. Add a key from any supported provider and it’s used only to run these features on your behalf. Your provider bills you directly, at cost — NexusPlan never marks up the tokens.
Supported providers: OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, and xAI (Grok).
Turning it on
Section titled “Turning it on”- You need a Pro Team or Business plan.
- Go to Account → AI and paste a key from your provider (or generate an MCP token).
Keys are encrypted at rest and never shown again — the app only ever displays the last four characters. They’re decrypted only on the server, at the moment of a request, and never sent to your browser.
Which plan
Section titled “Which plan”AI features are included on Pro Team and Business. On the Free plan the AI controls are visible but locked, with a prompt to upgrade.
